The Belize Citrus Growers Association (CGA) was established under the Citrus (Processing & Production) Ordinance of 1967 under Chapter 277 of the 2000 Revised Laws of Belize. CGA is in its 42nd year of serving growers in Belize.
The Mission of the Citrus Growers Association is to ensure the highest possible production of the best quality citrus and sell at the highest possible price in order to improve the welfare and quality of life for citrus growers in Belize.
This website describes the work and departments of CGA and introduces you to the staff who consistently strive to provide high quality services to Association members. The website's primary function is to inform the Belize citrus grower community about the range of services that are available to members: services that aim to support growers in their efforts to make citrus production in Belize a profitable venture. This website will also provide growers with practical and up to date information and advice on grove management practices suitable for Belize in addition to being an information centre on Belizean citrus for potential investors and donors, policy makers, purchasers of Belizean citrus products, other researchers, students and anyone interested in the citrus production and the development of the citrus industry in Belize.
